supply/usage

.Other wood-products industries: production

From 2013, the branch of industry 'Other' includes wood used for the manufacture of particle board, fibreboard, wooden poles, log buildings and wood pellets. Previously, this branch of industry only covered the wood used in the production of wooden poles and log buildings, in which case both particle board industry and fibreboard industry were presented separately as their own industries.

.Mechanical pulp industry: production

Also semi-chemical pulp is included under mechanical pulp.

.Chemical pulp industry: as raw material

Imported chips are regarded as by-products of the forest industry.

Energywood (1000 m³)

Imported energywood volumes also include Luke's estimate on the consumption of chips in energy and power plants.

Black liquor and other concentrated liquors (1000 t)

Approximately 99% of black and other concentrated liquors are used in power and heating plants (estimate by Aalto University).

Recovered paper and paperboard (1000 t)

.Production = Collection of recovered paper and paperboard
